The Villa Contessa Massari is located in Ducentola, a hamlet of the Municipality of Voghiera in the Province of Ferrara, from which it is 9 km away. The Villa, born as a residence for nobles in the summer period, is immersed in its large private park (26,000 square meters), in a secluded position at the edge of the village. A historic residence built in the 17th century, it originally belonged to the ancient noble Nigrelli family and since 1870 has been owned by the Massari family. The Villa owes its name to the last heiress of the Massari family, Countess Maria Cristina Massari, a woman of great charm and resourcefulness, a passionate traveler of art and photography.
