Villa Angarano is a majestic Palladian villa in Bassano del Grappa, in the province of Vicenza, which belongs to and is still inhabited by the Bianchi Michiel sisters, descendants of an ancient Doge family. Surrounded by vineyards, fields and hills, it is immersed in a highly evocative landscape. The villa was conceived not only as a farm but as a place to stay.
The design of the villa is included in the ‘Quattro Libri dell’Architettura’ (1570) by Andrea Palladio, who describes it as follows: ‘This place is famous for the precious wines, which are made there, and for the fruits that come from them, and much more for the courtesy of the master’.
Villa Angarano is also a wine cellar. The Bianchi Michiel family welcomes and accompanies lovers of Palladian architecture and wine for a visit. A walk that brings to life the history of a family with ancient Venetian origins.
