The Associazione Alessandro Scarlatti of Naples, founded in 1918, is the oldest musical association in Southern Italy. Since 1948 it has been established as a non-profit organization and registered in the Regional Register of High Culture Institutions of the Campania Region. Its purpose is exclusively the dissemination of art and musical culture in its many forms and to this end it organizes a concert season of national importance, musical training programs for disadvantaged children (Music & Society Project with Fondazione con il Sud), workshops for the students of the Conservatories of Southern Italy aimed at completing their training to support their competitiveness on the labor market (Scarlattilab Project), enhancement of the Historical Bodies of the Churches of our Region, the Parliamo di Musica (“Let’s Talk about Music”) conferences, publications.
