Palazzo Sorbello, located in the historic centre of Perugia, a short distance from the Cathedral and the Pozzo Etrusco, is an ancient palace dating back to the 17th century. Halls with frescoed vaults, embellished with 18th-century furnishings and chandeliers, house a rich collection of fine 18th-century Ginori porcelain, period paintings, prints and the historic Library of the Ranieri di Sorbello family. One of the rooms is dedicated to the display of embroidered fabrics made by the Ranieri di Sorbello Embroidery School founded by Marchesa Romeyne Robert in 1904 at the family’s Villa del Pischiello on Lake Trasimeno. During various periods of the year, temporary exhibitions on the history and collections of the Marquises Bourbon di Sorbello are set up within the visitors’ itinerary.

Visitors are welcomed into an elegant hall with a frescoed vaulted ceiling, video and display windows, and a large panoramic terrace with a suggestive view of the city of Perugia and the surrounding hills.
