The company is located in Buttrio (Ud), 100km east of Venice and 90km south of the border with Austria, in the d.o.c. “Friuli Colli Orientali” in a hilly environment with a strong wine-growing vocation in which the vineyard has always been the main element of the landscape. The family estate covers 110 hectares almost entirely of vineyards in a single corporate body: it was February 15, 1585 when, following a marriage, the family of the Counts of Attimis-Maniago received the Buttrio company as a dowry, as the current owner, Count Alberto, is accustomed to say, “The one with the vine and the vineyard is a marriage that has lasted for over four hundred years for my family”.
