CLUSONE – TCI

Referred to as the “painted town” for its countless frescoes, Clusone is irregularly laid out on different levels and is characterized by a unique and labyrinthine intersection of alleys and minor streets. The view offers surprises, from the panoramic top of the village dominated by the majestic Basilica of the Assumption. Opposite the Basilica is the Oratorio dei Disciplini, known for its precious exterior frescoes (Triumph of Death and Dance Macabre). The fulcrum of the town is the Piazza dell’Orologio, overlooked by the 15th-century Palazzo Comunale, Those who visit the town can surely cheer the passage of time by enjoying the typical Biscotto di Clusone, made with almonds and chocolate, invented and produced since 1920.
