The eighteenth-century garden, dominated by the tall body of the villa topped by a turret, has three terraces. The first level, to which one descends via a two-flight staircase, has a square plan, with a fountain in the center; it is divided into four large compartments now marked in the center by palm trees. Leaning against the side walls are espaliers of citrus trees, while on either side of the staircase are openings giving access to the system of caves enriched with fountains and automata games.
The central grotto is dedicated to Neptune and houses a rotating scene moved by hydraulic pressure, while in the right-hand grotto the automaton depicting Lucifer has been restored. This level of the garden also preserves other water features: sequences of gushes are concealed on the ground along the paths between the flowerbeds.
From the first wide terrace, one descends to a second level, formerly used as a flower garden, with the fountain of the Sirens in the center. From here, a double flight of pincer stairs leads to the third level, consisting of a hemicycle terrace, open to the valley floor and bordered by a cypress exedra.
An avenue adorned with statues and cypresses branches off from the latter terrace, concluded, at the point where it reaches the valley floor, by an access marked by two turrets. A second avenue, bordered by magnificent yew trees kept in a conical shape, leads to the little verzura theater, with earthen steps and cypress wings.
