The museum is located in Colfiorito, a small mountain village in the municipality of Foligno located along an important road junction that connected Umbria, Sabina and the Adriatic coast in ancient times.
The visit is an opportunity to learn about the dynamics of cultural development in this part of Apennine Umbria, frequented by man since prehistoric times and permanently occupied from the archaic age by the Umbrian people of the Plestini. A visit to the Colfiorito Nature Park and the museum dedicated to it, located in the immediate vicinity, completes the visit.
