Built in 1520 by Leonardo Zurla for his noble Cremasque family, the palace stretches between today’s Via Tadini and Via Bottesini with two sober exterior facades that follow Lombard sixteenth-century canons and, as was the custom at the time, reserve splendor for the interiors. An aristocratic residence and meeting place for artists and men of letters, Palazzo Zurla De Poli is a masterpiece of the Lombard Renaissance that over the centuries has been a favorite venue for receptions, social gatherings and cultural exchanges.
Today the palace, following a major restoration project, reopens to the public in a new guise, returning to the city of Crema and its inhabitants the wonders housed in this rediscovered treasure. Set in the heart of Lombardy, the mansion fits into an urban fabric that weaves art and tradition, and whose values find in the unique context of the Palace the reverberation of a renewed dialogue between past and present. Palazzo Zurla De Poli returns to welcome all those who set out on the trail of these ancient splendors, opening its rooms to the discovery of refined environments and stories that make the residence a place of the soul.
