Address: Via Natisone/Via Armentarezza, 33040 Frazione di Leproso (UD)
The “Braida Copetti,” opened in the summer of 2018 in Leproso di Premariacco (UD), is an open-air museum. A collection of works of art. It covers a 15,000 m² plot of land, originally intended for agriculture. Thanks to landscape architect Massimo Asquini, typical elements of the traditional braida have been given a modern twist. The Copetti family’s plants form a natural setting where sculptures by important 20th-century and contemporary artists have been included. The permanent collection includes Friulian masters (Mirko Basaldella, Marcello Mascherini, Luciano Ceschia, Nane Zavagno, Angelo Brugnera, Gianpietro Carlesso), Italian and international sculptors such as Giacomo Manzù and Dušan Džamonja. To these we must add still great names of the twentieth century, including Mario Negri, Pinuccio Sciola, Antonietta Raphael and Alik Cavaliere to compose “Sculpture of the Twentieth Century Exhibition en plein air” visitable until early July immersed in nature and history.
